Antoinette runs her own business, Benchmark Experts providing expert witnesses in the medical, engineering and work health and safety space to law firms. She has run this business for over 20 years. Antoinette has a husband and 2 daughters in their twenties. Life had been wonderful to her, having enjoyed a family home with a harbour view, boats and weekenders – then her world was turned upside down due to a sudden industry change that negatively impacted her business and subsequently her lifestyle. In 2018 Antoinette published a book Great Handbag – don’t forget your Briefcase – so titled because she believes that all women should present well, enjoy their life, dream, work hard and reap the benefits – but never, ever take their eyes off the family finances.” Antoinette wrote the book as a cathartic measure – just to help with the shock and the pain endured when things changed so rapidly for her and her family. She regularly speaks on the subject of women and resilience, particularly the older woman who might consider she is running out of time, mortgage in tow – but whom in essence, can provide a tremendous amount of assistance and advice when sought on how life can change and how best to deal with that change in order to see light at the end of the tunnel…
